The phrase “you get what you pay for” is the best way to describe the value of a diamond for engagement rings. While the cost of a diamond depends on the size and quality of the stone, it can cost from $1,000 to $50,000.
The diamond is the most coveted jewel of all time and is worth a staggering amount of money when compared to other precious stones. However, it is still a relatively large stone among other gems. The ruby, on the other hand, is a much smaller stone and only slightly more expensive.
